In 2011, Farm Credit of Ness City awarded three (3) $1,000 scholarships to deserving students. Scholarship winners were Helena Harmison of Dighton, Jay Wessel of Dresden, and Olivia Fabrizius of WaKeeney.
The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to students who are properly enrolled in any field of study at any accredited university, college, trade or vocational school.
Students or their parent (guardian) must be a stockholder of Farm Credit of Ness City. The student must be completing the last half of their degree or certification program and be properly enrolled in the next term or session to receive funds. (For example, each student will have completed two years of studies at a four-year college or university, one year at a junior college or the first half of a vocational or trade school certification program and be properly enrolled in the next term or session.) The student should exhibit leadership potential, initiative and have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. In all other respects, these funds shall be awarded without restriction to sex, race, color, handicap, religion or national origin.
$3,000 of scholarships will be awarded ($1,000 per scholarship). The scholarships are non-renewable, however, recipients may apply again the following year.

A scholarship committee established by Farm Credit of Ness City shall choose the recipients of this award. Completed applications must be received by Monday, April 9, 2012. Selection shall be made and recipients notified on or about May 4, 2012. Payment of scholarship will be made directly to recipient upon proof of full time enrollment and payment of tuition for the next term. The scholarship committee has the sole responsibility and discretion for determining the eligibility and awarding of scholarships and the committee decision shall be final.
