
| Inside out chocolate chip cookies |

| INGREDIENTS 2 1/2 cups flour 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa 1 tsp salt 1 cup granulated sugar 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened 1/2 cup shortening 1 tsp vanilla extract 2 large eggs 1 1/2 cups white chocolate chips 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional) Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In medium bowl, mix flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt; set aside. In a large bowl, mix together the sugars, butter, shortening, vanilla and eggs with electric mixer at medium speed. Reduce speed to low and add dry ingredients; beat until well combined. Fold in white chocolate chips and nuts by hand. Drop dough by round tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 10 to 12 minutes, or until set. Cool slightly on the cookie sheet, about 2 minutes, then transfer to wire racks with a spatula to finish cooling. Submitted by: Vickie Leiker |
